Christmas is over and it's on to Valentine's day

I have spent two days straightening up the craft room. I had put it together and then after working in it decided it just wasn't working for me. So after rearranging I think it might work at least for a little while...I am hoping to move it into our smaller bedroom which is twice the size of my converted sun porch which has no heat or airconditioning...
So may everyone have a Happy New Year and I will be back with something creative soon

On the 7th day of Christmas

Santa is on his way I hope you all are being very very good! I am knitting away, I will get back to my paper crafts as soon as I get the orders I have filled.

My daughter wants me to open an etsy store so that may be coming soon…I will keep you posted.

Twas the Month before Christmas

Twas the month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.
See the PC Police had taken away
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-Pod
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded.
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,
not Happy Holiday!
Please, all Christians join together and
wish everyone you meet
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Christ is The Reason' for the Christ-mas Season!

I am so Thankful!

I have so much to be thankful for and wanted to share the banner I made with all of you.

I used Designer Calendar for the letters, a chipboard book I had bought at the CKC convention last year, Paper from the Autumn Splendor Stack by DCWV, Colored Raffia from M's and chipboard leaves I had lying around.

It's been a LONG day!

No crafting got done today by me...I worked til 2 last night I mean this morning and woke up this morning at 730 only to be up all day and finally laid down at 430 for a quick nap and at 445 the phone rings telling me to come to work at 6. I love my job but I am one tired woman...and to top it off my Panthers lost again.

My white box for pictures

One thing you will learn about me is that I like to do with as little of cost as possible so when I wanted to take the pictures for my blog I built my own white box, though I think I am going to move the light next time so there isn't so much shadow. Anywho it is just 2 pieces of foam board set at an angle and my desk top OTT lite that I bought on sale at Micheal's for half price.

Pumpkins

I made the big pumpkins for a friend...like it so much I made myself one and then to use the left over paper I made the cards. I used October 31st and Pooh and Friends for this card. The paper is from DCWV's Autumn splendor.

Treat Bag Toppers

I made these for my friends at work.

Ho Ho Ho

I have been trying to get motivated and start my Christmas Card's well I have some cut out but not put together but last week while cleaning my craft room I found this kit I had bought on clearance at Michael's last year after Christmas.

Happy Hauntings

Beware be ready to be scared. I have become a Pita Babe and have been going to Kathy's (Paper Phenomenon) Monday Night Football Classes. You should join us it's great fun and look what I made!

This uses the Mini Monster cart!

Thomas the Train

I got this cut file from Jade on the Cricut Board. I made them for a friend's little boy!

Halloween Banner

I had been wanting to try my hand at a banner and here is my first one. I used Lacy Labels and October 31 and  Blackletter. The paper is from Michaels not sure who makes it and the witches came from a pack of diecuts I bought last year after Halloween.
