Finally back to crafting

I have been so busy organizing I hadn't had a chance to do anything but with my desk clear I decided it was time to get something done. I belong to the SEI Card club and had gotten my kit so I got busy and have made 7 already.

Craft Room organization

I have gotten so much done and found so much that I didn't even know I had. Have been sticking to my spending band except for the few things I bought for my organization.

Here is my new paper storage. It was perfect for the spot I had because it was behind the door and I wanted to be able to get into the closet without having to move things. It got my paper up off my desk and shelf and now I can see what I have at just a glance.

The system is the RackitFile and here is the link if your interested. http://www.rackitfile.com/info/about.html

Next I worked on my clear stamps. I had shown earlier an idea I had for it and thought I would try it and so far I think I like it. I do have a lot of room left and am thinking I might use the rest of the room for my embellishments that will fit in the large pockets.

I wanted to share how I store my Cricut cartridges

Then there are my Cuttlebug Folders.
They were so mixed up and I had no clue what I even had and was surprised that when I finally went through them I only had one duplicate. I am half finished with making the folders for them but wanted to share these too.

I made this little cheat ring when I embossed the front of the file I stuck a 3x5 card in and but them on a ring so I can see at a glance what I have and know where it is. Next I am going to do my dies and the folders that match them.

One last thing.
This is where I store my punches. I bought the shoe holder at the Container store but I know you can buy them anywhere.

Happy Crafting.

Weight watchers update

Well I am still at it and have lost 11.5 lbs so far! I think the thing that helps me the most is keeping track of what you eat.

Organizing My Clear Stamps

I have been working trying to find a way to ororganize my craft room and this week I have been trying to come up with a way to organize my clear stamps and found this on pinterest and thought it just might be what I need. Sometimes the simplest things are just what you need. It's a paper towel holder, binder rings and plastic sheet protectors.

Five-Spice London Broil

Well so far so good. I have lost 7.4 lbs since January 1st. I wanted to share this recipe with you because it's good dieting or not. I served the left overs on a salad. Yummy

Weight Watchers Recipe
Prep time: 6 min
Cook time: 14 min
Serves: 4

Ingredients
1 1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp Durkee ground cumin, or other brand
1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
16 oz uncooked lean beef round, (1-pound) London broil, trimmed of all visible fat
Instructions

Spray a broiler rack with canola oil nonstick spray; preheat the broiler.

Combine the chili powder, paprika, cumin, pepper, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Place the steak on a sheet of wax paper and sprinkle both sides with the spice mixture; let stand about 15 minutes.

Broil the steak 5 inches from the heat until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the center registers 145°F for medium-rare, 5–7 minutes on each side. Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let stand about 10 minutes. Slice thinly on an angle against the grain into 12–16 slices. Yields 3–4 slices of steak per serving.

If you prefer your steak more well done, broil it until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the center registers 160°F for medium, about 1 minute longer on each side.

Birthday Cards for my coworkers

When Lorraine posted these on the Cricut Circle I knew these would be perfect for our birthday gift from our Sunshine Committee. I am still using my stash but did have to buy the candles which with my 40% off Coupon were 2.99. These are about half of what we will need for the whole year but will give us a good start.
Here's the link to Lorraines video if you want to make your own.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeY8TgyyflE&feature=plcp&context=C3ce9c2cUAOEgsToPDskLG3IpDCAKIcgNbV1h-up_j

I have been so lucky lately.

First I won the Art Philosphy set and now I won $110 worth of stamps from Robyn over on My Pink Stamper. The stamps came today and I can't wait to use them.
