Tis the Season

I am off to spend the day in my craft room. My husband has been complaining about my singing...can you imagine...I can't get the Christmas carols out of my head. I am working on top secret Christmas Presents for my daughter but will post them soon as she never comes here, well at least I hope she doesn't

Poinsettia Wreaths-Flower Shoppe

I made these two wreaths one for myself and one for my dear friend Natasa who has been through a tough time and has finally moved with her two sons into their new home. We are celebrating the start of her new life next week at a house warming party. She had tried to talk me out of the one I was making for myself so I decided I would make her one as well. I learned to make the poinsettias from a tutorial by Kimberly on My Craft Spot. She has done several other tutorials as well.

Stand and Salute

Today is Veterans Day. It always reminds me of how proud my dad was to serve his country during World War II. He entered the Navy at the age of 17 and served until the war ended. I just wanted to say a thank you for all those who have served or are serving to protect our freedoms.

God Bless America.

First Christmas Card of the Season

This is the front of the card. It was a 6X6 card and I cut the background from the Snow Angel Cartridge on my Imagine. I cut the car from Summer Vacation at 2 inches. It comes with a surfboard on top but I just cut it off. The tree is from Christmas Noel.
The inside of the card is a tree, fancy tree and window all from Christmas Noel and bling from recollections.

The stamp is from a set I bought from Oriental Trading which is Christmas Carol titles.

I didn't win but I love my card.

Good VS. Bad

I spent the weekend going to Greenville, SC for the Cricut Circle meet up had a wonderful time meeting everyone and exchanging Calling Cards and Christmas tags with everyone...while eating breakfast on Sunday before leaving to come home I bit down on a piece of bacon and immediately felt pain (this is where the bad started) I finally was able to see the dentist this morning where I was sent immediately to the oral surgeon who did oral surgery because the tooth could not be repaired and ended up breaking during the procedure. Thank goodness for pain medicine and I hope it heals quickly, so I can get back in the craft room asap. I have lots of projects that  I am working on for Christmas gifts.

Snow flake calling card

I made this calling card for the Cricut Circle Meetup that I went to this weekend in Greenville, SC.
Had a great time and was so happy that I got to meet so many of the Circlets

This is another one of those easy projects and I think you could use it for a package tag as well.
It takes 2-3X3 Pieces of white cardstock
The Martha Stewart Punch anywhere Snowflake punch
Packing tape
The Cuttlebug snowflake folder
and
Martha Stewart fine blue glitter.

I printed my info on one of the cards
punched a snowflake in the center of the other
ran it through the cuttlebug
covered the opening with packing tape

Sprinkled it with glitter and glued them together.

.

And the winner is

Lady Fair!
I have sent you an email and will get your cart out to you as soon as I get a reply.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and I hope you come back again.

Winter/Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to the Winter/Christmas Themed Blog Hop celebrating our favorite time of the year. This Blog Hop is hosted by Paulette, from Around the Bock with Scrapalette. You can start at the beginning of the hop at  http://scrapalette.blogspot.com/
My project for the hop is JOY CHRISTMAS TAG, it's easy peasy and I hope you enjoy it. Don't forget to look at the bottom of the post for blog candy and a link to your next stop
I used SEI peppermint swirl and green stock paper from Michaels.
I bought the shipping tags at Office Depot
The twine is Maraschino from The Twinery
For a little bling I used Recollections Boutique Fleur Mini Round Gems in Green
.

I cut the Joy at 2" from the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge.

glued the twine in a spiral to the joy

I covered the shipping tag with a piece of the Peppermint Swirl Paper cut to fit
Glue the Joy to the front of your tag, add your bling to the center of your spiral and a piece of twine to the  end of the tag and you are done. Like I said Easy Peasy .I'm really glad you stopped by.

Now for the blog candy, I am giving away either a Nursery Tails Imagine Cartridge or a Nursery Rhymes Cricut Cartridge. All you need to do is leave a comment below and follow my blog. I will choose a winner at random on Monday, make sure you leave a way for me to contact you.
